Who can participate in Vortex 14.0?
Students from any recognized college or university can participate. Some events may have specific prerequisites outlined in their details sections.
Why should I participate in Vortex?
College life goes beyond academics—it’s about experiences, connections, and challenges. Vortex offers a platform to showcase your talent, compete with students from other colleges, explore opportunities, and create lasting memories.
When is the event?

What are some of the must-try events?
Senior IDP (Industry-Defined Problem): Our flagship event where participants solve real industry challenges. It's perfect for those looking to apply their knowledge to practical problems. Chemflow: A challenging chemical engineering problem-solving competition that tests your technical prowess. Papyrus: A unique research paper presentation event for showcasing innovative ideas. Ignite: An exciting quiz competition testing your chemical engineering knowledge. Blueprint: A plant design competition where creativity meets engineering precision.
Can I participate in multiple events?
Yes! You can participate in as many events as you like across different series. In fact, participating in more events can unlock bigger discounts. You can select events from Prodigy, General, and Pharma series. However, note that you can only select either Sr. IDP or Sr. IDP Multi-Problem, not both.
What is the difference between Sr. IDP and Sr. IDP Multi-Problem?
Sr. IDP: Register for one problem statement at ₹800. Sr. IDP Multi-Problem: Register for two or three problem statements at ₹1600. Both options give you access to the flagship Industry-Defined Problem event. You cannot select both options - choose based on how many problem statements you want to tackle.
Do I need to be from ICT Mumbai to participate?
No! Vortex is open to students from all colleges and universities. We welcome chemical engineering enthusiasts, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students from across India to participate in our events. All you need is a valid college ID.
What are the different series available?
Prodigy Series: Advanced events for chemical engineering enthusiasts including Sr. IDP, Chemflow, Papyrus, Codathon, and Jr. IDP. General Series: Perfect for all chemistry lovers with events like Ignite, Advent, SDP, Ultimate Detectives, and UpBiz. Pharma Series: Explore the pharmaceutical world through Blueprint, Cosmecure, Gene Auction, Pharmaquest, and Moot Court.
